What an excellent thrifting adventure today! I found a couple pairs of fancy flats. Some spicy footwear is the best compliment to a more relaxed look. Just because you’re wearing flats, doesn’t mean that you can’t have excellent unique footwear! Some key details about choosing flats…it’s all in the details! I tend to move toward leather shoes. After they’re broken in, they feel like second skin. Another benefit is the ease in fixing leather shoes. My local cobbler is also like a friend. I love sharing my second-hand finds with her. Besides the two finds that are pictured above, I found a pair of red eel skin heels (picture after they’re fixed up.) They are very vintage because when I put them on, the heel point crumbled on the floor at Goodwill. I bought them for $6, and took them straight to the cobbler. She’ll fix the heel for $10. So now I have a comfortable pair of stylish eel heels for $16! If only they also had panthers on the heels, or a hand-sewn pointed elf toe. Oh well, a girl can dream.
